Occupational Therapy Early Intervention
Bloom Therapies Bundaberg offer occupational therapy assessment, intervention and recommendation for infants, young children and their families with a wide variety of support needs. We offer a mobile service, working with those in Bundaberg and surrounding regions. We work closely with parents, caregivers and key support people to support the best outcome for families.
Occupational Therapy interventions are tailored towards your unique needs with a focus on occupations of childhood - including early developmental milestones, positioning and postural supports, play and engagement, attachment and relationships, nervous system regulation, sleep and settling, motor skills, and activities of daily living, such as mealtimes and feeding, toileting, bathing and dressing.
Assistive Technology Recommendation and Prescription
We are experienced in identifying solutions for assistive technology needs for children of all ages, including infant positioning, strollers, car seats, hi-lo and activity chairs, floor sitters, manual and tilt-in-space wheelchairs, adapted tricycles, toileting, showering, bathing and sleep supports.
Functional Capacity Assessments
Functional capacity assessments are designed to identify the necessary supports for children, young people and their families to achieve their goals and aspirations. We assess how a child’s disability or condition impacts upon their day-to-day life and help establish goals that will enhance participation, develop capacity and promote independence.
